Today, we recognized all the people involved in the Senior Banner Project for the Pendleton County Class of 2020. While we could not accommodate the entire class, we did have several Seniors present to recognize the people involved in making the project come together in such a short time. It has been a privilege to be part of this project, but without the following people this would NOT have taken place.
First to Mayor Ron Stinson and City Council, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work on this during work hours, which was minimal compared to the other people involved. Joe Montgomery with Operation HonorsBanner for reaching out to our community with the option, Karen Delaney and the Pendleton County Education Foundation for handling the donations, Corporate sponsors: Mike Klenda with Carmeuse/Black River Mine; Jon Thelen, President, Nathan Hatfield, Plant Manager, and Amanda Moore, with Bakery Feeds; School Personnel: Superintendent Joe Buerkley, Principal Tony Dietrich, Senior Sponsors Julie Hart and Adam Hall, City of Falmouth Superintendent Gary Lea for getting the banners hung, and a special thank you to Country Patchwork Quilt Shop who has agreed to unstitch banners in order to return to the Seniors in the Fall.
I would also like to recognize the following people who also made monetary donations to this project: Michael & Pattie Flynn, Ronnie & Ramona Williams, Martin & Norma Moreland, Dennis & Shirley Seever, Brian & Nichole Armentrout, Thomas & Cheri Griffin, Larry & Eva Herbst, Pam Mains, Steven and Deborah Glaza, Allen & Paula Spence, PC Retired Teachers Association, Brian & Jaclyn Thompson, Butler Christian Church, Taylor Platt, Jennifer Jones, John & Karen Delaney, Janice Polley, Kimberly Polley, Roger & Amy Hurst, Shannon Wells, Ron & Carla Stinson, Richard & Lisa Halcomb, Frances Carr, US Bank, and Woodhead Inc.
