The City of Falmouth is Seeking Applicants for Position of
POLICE CHIEF

To oversee the Falmouth Police Department’s operational administrative duties; develop, implement, and evaluate agencies goals, policies, programs, and budgets; provide direction and guidance to police, civilian, and communications to staff. While providing a clear, attainable mission and strategic plan for the department.

Skills needed but not limited to: Leadership team building interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, self management, communication, writing, public speaking, and public relations skills. Candidate needs to be accessible, friendly, ethical, trustworthy, decisive, analytical, flexible, innovative, creative, and inspirational. Strong sense of community relationships a must; a familiarity with a “small town” environment would be considered a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred. Prior years of experience in a supervisory and managerial experience may be considered. 10 years of experience in police work preferred, minimum of 3-5 years in supervisory position.

Any active or retired candidate will be considered. Candidate must be able to obtain and retain any necessary KLEC certification. (KY Law Enforcement Council)

CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER (2)

Duties include but are not limited to: patrol assigned areas, answer dispatch calls and take appropriate action, assist other officers on calls, perform duties according to procedure in time of emergency, investigate complaints, interview persons or examine crime/accident scenes, testify in court, properly process reports, citations and other paperwork, properly maintain uniform/equipment, attend required training seminars, assist other agencies with various tasks, performs other duties as required/necessary.

Kentucky Police Officer Professional Standards Certification, successful completion of Police Academy, must possess a valid state issued driver’s license. Prior years of experience or any equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered. City offers competitive wage and benefit package. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SEEKING
MAINTENANCE WORKER(s)

The City is currently accepting applications for (2) FULL TIME Maintenance Workers. Duties would include but are not limited to operations regarding utilities such as garbage collection, electrical distribution, water distribution, sewage treatment, and street/sidewalk preservation. Position also requires after hour emergency call-in situations. Applicant must also adhere to all safety/OSHA related training and PPE requirements. Must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent diploma. Kentucky Drivers License Class B-CDL, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment; good driving record. Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check. Starting pay is $11.00 per hour with benefits. The City of Falmouth is an EOE. CITY OF FALMOUTH SEEKING WATER PLANT OPERATOR

City of Falmouth is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Plant Operator at our Water Treatment Plant. You must have the ability to obtain Class I Operators Certificate or hold a current license. Position may require after-hour emergency call-in situations.

Applicant must also adhere to all safety/OSHA related training and PPE requirements. GED or high school diploma is required along with strong written and verbal communication skills, and basic computer knowledge. Must have a Kentucky Driver’s License; good driving record. Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check. Starting pay is dependent upon experience/qualifications. The City of Falmouth is an EOE.
