Hello everyone! I am Mayor Elonda Hinson and I would like to welcome you to my hometown Falmouth Kentucky. As a child growing up here in Falmouth, I love that we still offer our citizens as well as our visitors a taste of that good ole small town feeling. Everyone joins together to celebrate special moments with one another and just knowing that a neighbor or friend is there to help with whatever you may need is a great feeling. I love the inspirational feeling I get when I walk the streets of our historic downtown that was founded in the 1700s, and I hope others will take pleasure in that as well. We are a small town thriving to bounce back from devastating times consisting of storms and floods, and we are working hard to achieve just that. Buildings are being revitalized and new businesses are currently opening. We are a town that cherishes our historic facade while embracing new and evolved ideas that enhance our towns presence; always looking to improve and make a more beautiful town for us all.

Falmouth has many services and entertainment options for all ages. We have a very nice Veterans Park for anyone to enjoy family reunions, birthday parties, or just sit and visit with some friends for lunch. If you need a special space for an event check out our St Xavier Hall, or our Farm Bureau Building, or perhaps Stonewood Gardens; any of these locations are wonderful places that will offer a unique and charming atmosphere for whatever you might be seeking.

If you are outdoorsy you must check out Kincaid Lake State Park, located just minutes from our downtown area. You will find everything from boating, fishing, camping, golfing, swimming and much more for everyone to do. People travel from all over to come and enjoy this park.

Falmouth is wildly known for being the birthplace of the Kentucky Wool Festival, which is held annually in October. If you enjoy amazing food, tons and tons of crafts, dancing/singing plus much more shows then you must check out this event. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I work directly with our Falmouth Festival Committee every year to decorate our town and put together a great celebration for Halloween, Christmas, and the Fourth of July for all to enjoy. These festivals are exciting and fun for the entire family. Trust me if you are a family of 10 or just a family of one come celebrate with my town, you will not regret it.

Also know while the city offers all these great things to do we also provide daily services to our citizens. If you are looking to move or have any questions with utilities call our City Hall and any of the girls in the office will be glad to help you with everything from electricity, water/ sewer, and even trash removal. Know that we have a fully staffed Police Department and Volunteer Fire Department available as well. Any of these departments would be happy to assist you in any way possible to help your stay or visit to our town be satisfying.

As Mayor of Falmouth I invite you to come visit and enjoy for yourself all that the great town of Falmouth has to offer. You will soon see why I am proud to call Falmouth my hometown.
