Seeking a seasonal/part time position for two General Maintenance Workers within the Public Works Department. Duties would include but are not limited to operations regarding utilities such as electrical distribution, water distribution, sewage treatment, garbage truck, and street/sidewalk preservation. Position also requires after hour emergency call-in situations. Applicant must also adhere to all safety/OSHA related training and PPE requirements. Kentucky Drivers License Class B-CDL, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment; good driving record. Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check. Starting pay is dependent upon experience.


Seeking a full time administrative assistant in our Clerks Department. Essential duties and responsibilities will consist of but not limited to: Excellent communication and mathematical skills, as well as strong organizational, and excellent customer service skills. He or she must also possess excellent writing skills and be proficient in various technologies to facilitate financial management, create word processing documents, databases and spreadsheets. This individual will also be responsible for assisting with taking utility payments and bank deposits. Assistant to Mayor, City Council, City Clerk. Must be bondable.


Seeking two police officers for full time positions with our Police Department. Duties include but are not limited to: patrol assigned areas, answer dispatch calls and take appropriate action, assist other officers on calls, perform duties according to procedure in time of emergency, investigate complaints, interview persons or examine crime/accident scenes, testify in court, properly process reports, citations and other paperwork, properly maintain uniform/equipment, attend required training seminars, assist other agencies with various tasks, perform other duties as required/necessary. Kentucky Police Officer Professional Standards Certification, successful completion of Police Academy, must possess a valid state issued driver’s license. Prior years of experience or any equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered.

Seeking a part time/full time Police Administrative Assistant. Essential duties and responsibilities will consist of but not limited to: Experience/knowledge of serving as a public relations liaison for a police department, reporting of case reports and files, review court system reports, schedule mandatory officer training, perform one on one dispatch communications, maintain accreditation standards, and perform general administrative duties. Schedule and provide oversight to community services, and portray great customer service within the Police Department. In addition, they must be able interpret and understand the operations within the police department and the importance of following city and state rules and regulations. Must be bondable.


The successful candidate for any of these positions must be highly motivated and possess applicable level of knowledge/experience for the noted responsibilities. Applicant must have the ability to operate standard computer software. Candidate will also have a strong ability to communicate in oral and written form, and exhibit an ability to work with people. Minimum education and experience include a high school diploma/equivalent. City offers competitive wage and benefit package.
